The Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Women’s Club in Pawleys Island started an evangelization project to show solidarity with Christian brothers and sisters who are being killed for their religious beliefs in the Middle East and other parts of the world. The project was achieved with the help of spiritual facilitator Ellen Thoennes (left), Knights of Columbus President Allan Guazzo (right) and Father Patrick Stenson, church pastor.

The project began on Pentecost Sunday, May 24. All parishioners and visitors were given a prayer card with an orange ribbon attached for them to wear to bring attention to the killings and to pray daily. Father Pat is contacting all the churches in the area to get them involved and to spread the word.

For more information about the project, call the church office, 237-3428.
