Two area students chosen for trip to nation’s capital
Lucy Raptis from the Scholars Academy program and Bailee Jordan, representing Early College High School, were selected by school guidance counselors and HTC for the 21st annual Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., May 30-June 3, sponsored by HTC and the foundation.
The tour will bring together 100 high school juniors from across rural and suburban America, exposing the students to the regulatory process and explaining the impact of legislative and judicial decisions on the telecommunications industry in rural America. Students also have the opportunity to visit many of the historical sites in the nation’s capital.
For more information about the tour or other HTC educational programs, call Nicole Hyman, HTC senior marketing coordinator, at 369-8498 or 902-3838.
