Horry farmer directs funds to Green Sea Floyds High’s agricultural department

Submitted photo

The Green Sea Floyds High School Agricultural Department has received a $2,500 donation from Horry County’s Elliot Farms and America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The funds will allow the department to build a new 2,500-square-foot vegetable garden. The garden will serve as a learning experience for students, and they will donate a portion of the crops to the local food pantry.

Pictured (from left) are Monsanto representative Jess Easterling and winning farmer Aubrey Elliot, who presented the $2,500 America’s Farmers Grow Communities check to Green Seas Floyd High School’s agricultural department.
