S.C. Lions welcome international president to Myrtle Beach

Lions Club members from the state of South Carolina welcomed Joe Preston, international president of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization. Preston, from Dewey, Ariz., addressed the Lions during the organization’s 91st annual convention last month at the Ocean Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach.

Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Its 1.35 million members in more than 46,000 clubs are servicing communities in 208 countries and geographical areas around the globe. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives and strengthened local communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects.
