Georgetown school district holds academic fair
The following are the winners in the Georgetown County School District Academic Fair, which was held recently:
▪ Large School winners | Grades 3 and 4, Kensington Elementary School; Grade 5, Waccamaw Intermediate School.
▪ Small School winners | Grades 3 and 4, Pleasant Hill Elementary School; Grade 5, Coastal Montessori Charter School.
▪ Sixth-grade competition | Waccamaw Intermediate.
▪ Second-place team finishers, Large School division | Grades 3 and 4, Waccamaw Elementary School and Waccamaw Intermediate; Grade 5, Kensington and McDonald elementary schools tied.
▪ Second-place team finishers, Small School division | Grades 3 and 4, Sampit Elementary School; Grade 5, Pleasant Hill Elementary.
▪ Second, sixth-grade competition | Georgetown Middle School.
▪ Third place, Large School competition | Grades 3 and 4, McDonald Elementary School; Grade 5, Maryville Elementary School.
▪ Third place, Small School competition | Grades 3 and 4, Coastal Montessori Charter; Grade 5, Sampit Elementary.
▪ Third place, sixth-grade competition | Carvers Bay Middle School and Coastal Montessori Charter tied.
