Area ready for Bikefest and so are we

Editor’s note:

Area leaders and public safety officials have spent months planning logistics for handling crowds at this year's Atlantic Beach Bikefest during Memorial Day weekend. Our staff has been doing a lot of coverage planning as well. Here is what you can expect from us:

▪ Online coverage from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily starting Friday. This will include: Twitter feeds @TheSunNews using the hashtag #BBW15; Facebook posts; and news updates on our mobile and desktop sites.

▪ Reporter/photographer teams housed in hotels along Ocean Boulevard for quick response to breaking news.

▪ Coverage of the 23-mile traffic loop and reactions to it.

▪ Photo galleries and videos of the motorcycles, the crowds and any breaking news that develops.
