Swamp Fox Biker Bash postponed until fall

A motorcycle event that was set to be held in Marion County during the Myrtle Beach Spring Harley-Davidson rally that begins next week has been postponed until the fall, officials said Thursday.

The Swamp Fox Biker Bash has been postponed until Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 and those who had purchased tickets for next week’s events will be honored during the new time, officials said on the website.

Construction issues tied to the venue’s infrastructure forced the scheduling change, officials said on swampfoxbikerbash.com.

They also posted copies of two letters from Time Warner Cable and Peterson Communication about how the venue’s phone system, wireless internet, security camera system and computer systems would not be ready by next week.

In the Time Warner Cable letter dated April 22, officials said there were issues with the construction of the fiber network to the property.

On the website, Swamp Fox officials said because of safety concerns they had to postpone the event, which was to include concerts by groups such as Buckcherry, Bret Michaels and The Marshall Tucker Band.

Company officials could not be reached Thursday for comment.
