General election Tuesday for Horry District 7 seat

There will be an election for Horry County Council District 7 Tuesday. The seat was vacated by James Frazier, who is ill.

Democrat Harold Phillips will face Republican Robert Shelley. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Parking regulations change on Golden Mile in Myrtle Beach

Parking rules along the Golden Mile will change Tuesday.

Visitors will have to pay $2 and hour or $10 a day to park beach access lots along the mile. Neighborhood residents can pick up a decal to park on Ocean Boulevard for free, while non-residents can buy $100 decals to park in lots at 2nd Avenue North and 16th Avenue North.

LeAnn Rimes to perform at Alabama Theatre

LeAnn Rimes, known for such hits as “Blue,” “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and “How Do I Live?” will perform in concert aat 7 p.m. at Alabama Theatre, in Barefoot Landing, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach. For more information, call 843-272-1111 or log on to www.alabama-theatre.com.
