Thousands in Horry County without power

Horry Electric Cooperative customers near Conway are experiencing widespread power outages.

Two outages, stretching from Nixonville to Wilson Landing, left 2,883 customers without power, according to Horry Electric Cooperative’s website. No expected repair time was listed.

Horry Electric posted on Facebook that it had returned power to affected substations:

Horry County is under a severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather service. The warning is set to lift at 6:49 p.m.
