Statewide primaries set for Tuesday
Horry and Georgetown county voters will head to the polls Tuesday for primaries that are being conducted statewide.
Horry County schools and council have seats up for grabs, as well as state House and Senate seats.

Public meeting set for improvements near Garden City
The SC Department of Transportation has scheduled a public information meeting from 5-7 p.m. Thursday concerning potential improvements to U.S. 17 Business in Horry County.
The meeting will be at the Seaside Elementary School cafeteria located at 1605 Woodland Drive, Garden City Beach. A brief presentation will be given at 5:15 p.m.
The meeting will provide information and solicit feedback concerning potential improvements to U.S. 17 Business, extending about 2.6 miles from Melody Lane to S.C. 544. Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the community.
