Tropical storm warnings canceled for Horry and Georgetown Counties

Tropical storm warnings for Tropical Storm Colin are canceled for Horry and Georgetown Counties.

The flash flood watch for northeast South Carolina and southeast North Carolina has also been canceled.

However, the National Weather Service tells us, the threat of rip currents will continue to be high through out the day in northeast South Carolina and southeast North Carolina.

The National Hurricane Center said Colin marked the earliest that a third named storm has ever formed in the Atlantic basin.

The 2016 Atlantic Hurricane season began just five days ago.
