Horry County nightclub shut down after police found strippers performing

A business violation shuts down a local nightclub, according to reports from our Grand Strand News Alliance partner, WPDE.

Club Faces in Horry County was shut down Saturday after Horry County police officers found strippers performing, according to Horry County spokeswoman Lisa Bourcier.

The club, off Jason Boulevard near the intersection of U.S. 17 Bypass and U.S. 501, is not licensed as an adult entertainment facility, Bourcier said.

The club has been shut down and its business license has been revoked.

Horry County officials and the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office have cracked down on adult-themed clubs and bookstores in recent years, shutting down more than a half dozen operations including Tiffany’s Cabaret, Teezers, The Bunny Ranch, Bottoms Up and Airport Express Video.

Club Faces operated in a building that formerly housed the Gold Club, which re-branded itself to the Empire Night Club before a judge ruled it to be a nuisance and closed it.
