Child from Atlanta drowns in Myrtle Beach hotel’s lazy river
A child drowned Saturday night in Myrtle Beach.
London Adams, 7, from Atlanta, Georgia, died at the Grand Strand Medical Center Emergency Room, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.
The incident happened about 7:46 p.m. at the Sheraton Broadway Plantation at 3301 Robert Grissom Parkway. The child was pulled from the hotel’s lazy river and transported to the hospital.
The cause of death has been determined as drowning.
Myrtle Beach police are investigating.
