Update: Missing mom and baby found safe

A 34-year-old mother and her 14-month-old daughter who were recently reported missing were safely located Friday, Conway police said.

Heather Grace Mabry and her daughter Laya Smart were last seen in the Conway area March 30 before they were found.

The pair was traveling to Columbia to see family members, but never made it there, and Conway police received information they may have been in the Myrtle Beach area.

They are both safe at home, police said Friday.
