Police: Person falls off balcony at Myrtle Beach motel

One person fell off the balcony of a local hotel Thursday afternoon, and Myrtle Beach police are investigating.

Police responded to the Econo Lodge on South Ocean Boulevard around 1:50 p.m. Thursday, according to Lt. Joey Crosby. The victim reportedly fell off the balcony of a room.

The victim was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center but his or her injuries are unknown, according to Lt. Christian Sliker with Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue.

Myrtle Beach police are investigating the incident, Crosby said.
