Horry County Democrats on Saturday will finalize plans for their annual convention.

At 10 a.m., the group will meet to organize precincts, choose local leaders and pick delegates for the county convention, which will be held the following weekend.

“Every two years, Democrats in Horry County have this great opportunity to meet friends and neighbors who share their political perspective,” said Joan Furlong, who chairs the Horry County Democratic Party. “People who attend precinct meetings also learn how to get involved in strengthening the party and promoting Democratic values.”

The county’s 122 precincts are divided into eight clusters: Aynor, Bucksport, Carolina Forest, Conway, Myrtle Beach, North Strand, Northwest Horry and South Horry.

For more details about the clusters or to find a precinct, visit horrydemocrats.org or call 843-488-4237.
