Horry County firefighters battling Conway area brush fire

Horry County Fire Rescue firefighters are on scene Saturday afternoon battling a one acre-size brush fire.

Firefighters responded to the blaze about 1 p.m. Saturday near Rodney Road and S.C. 905 in the Conway area.

Brian VanAernem, spokesman with HCFR, said there are structures nearby, but the fire is contained so far and no evacuations were happening shortly after firefighters arrived on scene.
