List of closings, cancellations for Wednesday
Schools:
Horry County Public Schools will be closed for all students and employees. All after-school activities and events are canceled.
Georgetown County Public Schools will be closed for all students and employees. All after-school activities and events are canceled.
Academy Of Hope in Conway will be closed.
Conway Christian School will be closed. The CCS blood drive has been rescheduled for Friday from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Grace Christian School in Loris is closed.
Cape Fear Community College will close at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at all campus locations for students and employees due to the threat of possible severe weather. All classes and campus events scheduled for Wednesday are canceled.
Florence County will dismiss schools early Wednesday.
Some Dillon and Darlington schools will also dismiss early.
Marion County Schools will dismiss early Wednesday. Primary and Elementary will dismiss at 11 a.m. and middle and high school will release at noon. The district has also canceled all after-school extra-curricular activities.
Marlboro County School District will be dismissing students and staff early on Wednesday.
Daycares:
A Step Ahead Child Development Center in Conway is closed.
ATM Daycare in Longs will be closed.
Buckle My Shoe Day Care Center in North Myrtle Beach will be closed.
Creative Beginnings on Holmestown Road will be closed.
Highland park kindergarten will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. There will be no lunch bunch. After school care children will be picked up from their FSD1 school at 12:10 p.m.; however, they ask that all children who stay for after school care at Highland Park be picked up by 3 p.m.
The Learning Tree Day School on Glenns Bay Road will be closed.
Little Blessings Child Development Center in Little River will be closed.
Sea Mountain Academy Child Development Center in Little River will be closed.
Other:
International Student Outreach Program Business Meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center will be rescheduled for a later date in March to be announced.
Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs' offices, Day Programs and the New Horizons HASCI Center will be closed Wednesday.
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located in North Myrtle Beach will have no religious education on Wednesday.
Wanda and Jim York's "Hooked on Dancin'" cancellations for Wednesday (Feb. 24): beginners' line dance class, noon-1:15 p.m.at Brunswick Community College South Brunswick Island Center in Calabash, N.C., and line dance, 2:30-5 p.m. at Silver Coast Winery in Ocean Island Beach, N.C. Coast RTA: Due to the threat of inclement weather, the public meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Station 76 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. For information about the public meetings or general route information, please call Coast RTA Customer Service at 843-488-0865.

Shelter:
In response to the severe weather that is expected, the City of Conway will open a shelter at the Collins Park Building at 1001 16th Avenue on Wednesday. The shelter will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at its normal time 8:00 a.m. Thursday. Cots, blankets and pillows will be available, along with snacks and beverages. Pets are not allowed.
