Horry County polls open and running smoothly early Saturday morning

All 125 polls in Horry County are open Saturday morning and functioning correctly, officials said.

South Carolina Republican Primary polls opened at 7 a.m. Saturday and as of 8:30 a.m. all polls were working properly, according to Sandy Martin, Horry County director of voter registration.

Martin said the polls had already seen a high amount of foot traffic and many locations were hopping with eager voters.

Polls close at 7 p.m. Voters still in line to vote at 7 p.m. will be allowed inside polling places to vote.

What will you need to vote?

Voters will be required to produce photo identification at the polling place. Photo IDs that will be accepted: a South Carolina Driver’s License, an ID card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles, a S.C. Voter Registration Card with photo, a federal military ID or a U.S. Passport.
