Rubio event rescheduled for Friday night after plane trouble

Mario Rubio, Sen. Tim Scott, and Gov. Nikki Haley were set to host a town hall event in Pawleys Island at 11:45 a.m. Friday; however, the event was rescheduled about 15 minutes before it was supposed to start.

The event is now scheduled for 10 p.m. Friday at the same location it was originally going to be earlier, which is Low Country Preparatory School at 300 Blue Stem Dr.

The town hall was rescheduled because Rubio’s plane couldn’t take off in Columbia, according to a release.

“I sincerely apologize for the events today. Obviously we had no intention of this happening but the plane simply couldn't take off,” Jordan Russell, from Rubio’s campaign camp.
