Horry County police asking for help identifying ‘John Doe’ found in pool
Horry County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man found dead on Feb. 6 near North Myrtle Beach.
Police responded to an area in unincorporated North Myrtle Beach around 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 6, according to a police report. Officers were called in reference to a drowned person in an indoor pool, but police have not been able to identify the victim, according to Lt. Mark Bonner.
“Investigative efforts to identify this individual have not been successful to date,” Bonner said in a release.
Police are not releasing the exact location of the scene “for investigative purposes,” Bonner said.
Anyone who can identify the victim is asked to call police at 843-915-8477 or Horry County police dispatch at 843-248-1520. Persons providing information can remain anonymous, if so desired, Bonner said.
