Update: Lanes now open on S.C. 31 following Jeep rollover
Two left lanes of traffic were closed on S.C. 31 at the S.C. 544 exit for about an hour after a crash happened involving a Jeep rolling over.
One person was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries after the crash occurred about 10:14 a.m. and involved a Jeep rolling over several times. Horry County Fire Rescue, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and S.C. Department of Transpiration officials quickly responded to the crash and are still working the scene.
Officials said that it appeared to be a single-car crash, but said the Jeep may have made contact with a logging truck, and authorities were still sorting out the details of how the crash happened just after it occurred.
One dog was also in the Jeep when it crashed and appeared frightened after the incident, but was otherwise unharmed.
Closed lanes were reopened at 11:24 a.m., according to S.C. DOT officials.
