Murrells Inlet woman wins $250,000 in lottery
A Murrells Inlet woman snagged quite the gift in her Christmas stocking — a $250,000 winning lottery ticket.
The winner didn’t scratch the Payday ticket until after the holidays, and told lottery officials she and her family were shocked to discover it was a winner.
“I must have been a good girl,” the winner told lottery officials, who did not reveal the winner’s name.
Odds of winning $250,000 in the Payday game is 1 in 696,000, according to the S.C. Education Lottery.
The woman bought the winning ticket at the Markette Store at 4584 U.S. 17 South in Murrells Inlet, which will receive a commission of $2,500.
