Puppy rescued from burning home by Horry County firefighter
An Horry County firefighter was able to safely remove a puppy from a house fire on Thursday morning, according to Lt. Brian VanAernem, with Horry County Fire Rescue.
Lt. Brandon Stephens was one of the firefighters who responded to a call on Cane Brand Road the morning of Jan. 21, 2016.

— Horry County Fire (@hcfirerescue) January 21, 2016The owners of the single family home that was on fire had several animals inside the home, and “several did make it out. Unfortunately some did not,” VanAernem said.
