One person dead following Saturday night crash on Kings Highway

Myrtle Beach police responded to a crash with entrapment at about 8:25 p.m. Saturday.

The crash happened on Kings Highway and 27th Avenue South.

The victim, Carolyn Hicks, 70 of Knoxville, Tennessee, died from trauma caused by the crash, according to a press release from Darris Fowler, Deputy Coroner for Horry County.

Myrtle Beach police are investigating the cause of the crash.
