Horry County officials move operations to OPCON 4
Horry County is now operating at OPCON 4.
This means that flooding still poses a threat to Horry County, but the Waccamaw River continues to recede and become more stabilized.
Horry County police officers will remain at the eight security checkpoints along the Waccamaw River.
Four security checkpoints in the Socastee area have been removed and property owners can now return to the properties.
Boat patrols by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Horry County police will continue.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Recovery Centers remain in Horry County. The centers are at 120 Highway 57 South in Little River and 9650 Scipio Lane in Myrtle Beach.
You can visit the offices from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. seven days a week.
