A computer glitch at Myrtle Beach International Airport was causing long lines for passengers of all airlines on Friday morning.

Airport workers were processing passengers manually for all airlines — a lengthy process, Kirk Lovell, airport spokesman, said Friday morning. The first wave of flights affected by the glitch eventually departed, but delays continued as officials worked to fix the issues.

Officials could not be reached for comment Friday afternoon on the cause of the problem or the status of the solution. Departure records indicated that by noon, most flights were only slightly delayed.

Officials said passengers should arrive well ahead of their scheduled flight so they can be processed and to expect to wait in long lines.

Passengers can check flight status at http://www.flymyrtlebeach.com/ under departures on the homepage or at their airline’s website.
