Update: Missing Pawleys Island teen located by police

A missing 13-year-old girl was found safe Tuesday after the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office sent out a missing persons alert Tuesday morning.

Alexandra “Lexi” Dawn Vinson was found at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach by Myrtle Beach police, according to a press release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. She was located around 1:30 p.m. and the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office was notified, police said.

Vinson was last seen on Tuesday at 3 a.m. in Pawleys Island.
