The Carolina Country Music Festival has its first headline performer: Tim McGraw.

Organizers announced McGraw as a headliner Tuesday. He’s the first artist announced for the festival, which is set for June 9-12 on the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion site in Myrtle Beach.

McGraw is a three-time Grammy winner, has sold over 40 million albums and is known for songs such as “Don’t Take the Girl,” “Live Like You Were Dying” and “It’s Your Love.” He also has appeared in several movies including “The Blind Side” and “Friday Night Lights.”

Early Bird tickets for the festival already are on sale.

The inaugural Carolina Country Music Festival lured as many as 20,000 fans to the Ocean Boulevard site in June with performances by Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Big & Rich, Hunter Hayes and others.
