Missing Myrtle Beach man found safe by wife at area store
A 72-year-old man was found safe Monday after he was reported missing Saturday morning.
Kendall Collison, 72, was found safe Monday at a Myrtle Beach Kroger store by his wife, according to Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County police.
Collison’s wife took her husband home and told police he did not need medical assistance, Denis said. Collison told his wife he “just needed to get away for a little while and wanted to go camping,” Denis said.
He went missing Saturday morning at his home on Winterbury Lane in Myrtle Beach, Denis said. Police said Sunday they believe Collison is suffering from dementia and walked away from his home.
