Person dies after struck by vehicle in Myrtle Beach area. Road closed for hours
A pedestrian died Monday after being struck by a vehicle in the Myrtle Beach area.
The deadly crash happened at 3:30 a.m. when a 2008 Lexus Sedan hit the person, who was walking in the roadway, according to an email from Master Trooper William Bennett of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened along SC 707 and the intersection of Grand Oak Boulevard, Bennett said. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, died on the scene.
The roadway was blocked for about three hours as the crash was being investigating.
