Red, white and BOOM! Where to see free firework shows in the Myrtle Beach area

America is marking its 250th anniversary this year which means there will be a lot of celebrating this July Fourth.

Along the Grand Strand, that means shooting off fireworks.

There are many free fireworks displays in the Myrtle Beach area, several of them set for July 4.

Here is where you can see them:

July 4 displays and parades

  • Second Avenue Pier, 110 N. Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach – 9 p.m.
  • Cherry Grove Pier, 3500 N. Ocean Blvd. in North Myrtle Beach – 9:30 p.m.
  • Broadway at the Beach, 1325 Celebrity Circle in Myrtle Beach - 10 p.m.
  • Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach – 10 p.m.
  • Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 1251 21st Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach – post-game show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Murrells Inlet MarshWalk – boat parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by fireworks at 10 p.m.

Other summer firework displays

  • Fireworks will happen after the annual Aynor After the 4th celebration on July 11 at Aynor Town Park. The fireworks display will take place after dark.
  • Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach, hosts fireworks every Monday at 10 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 31.
  • Broadway at the Beach, 1325 Celebrity Circle in Myrtle Beach, hosts fireworks every Tuesday at 10 p.m. from June 9 through Sept. 1.
  • From the 2nd Avenue Pier in downtown Myrtle Beach at 9 p.m. every Wednesday through Aug. 27. The July 1 show will be replaced with a special fireworks show at 9 p.m. July 4.
  • While you need a ticket to see a Pelicans Baseball home game, 1251 21st Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, you can see the fireworks shows outside the stadium after the game on these dates: July 3, 4 and 5, July 10, July 31, Aug. 14, Aug. 21, and Sept. 4.
