Body found in Murrells Inlet during search for missing swimmer. What we know
A dead body was recovered from the water in the Murrells Inlet area, the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Crews with Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Rescue and the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of the jetties due to a report of a missing swimmer, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
The identity of the person is being withheld at this time.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available, according to the post.
