Multiple power outages in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach have left more than 3,200 people without power Tuesday morning.

It’s unclear what caused the outage. Santee Cooper posted on Facebook just before 9 a.m. that crews were headed to the area to determine the cause.

Due to the outage, both Crabtree Memorial Gym and General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center will be closed until power is restored, according to an email from the City of Myrtle Beach.

Any classes and programs at both fitness centers will resume once power has been restored and the facilities reopen, according to the email.

Power is expected to be restored around 10:45 a.m., according to Santee Cooper’s website.
