New upscale nightclub to join Myrtle Beach area’s after-hours scene. What to know
A new nightclub will open in the Myrtle Beach area this summer, targeting an older crowd and offering an upscale vibe.
After 25 will be located in the former Renegades location in the Galleria shopping plaza at 9668 N. Kings Highway.
The club will be operated by Roger Davisson and managed by Steven Davisson. Some may know Roger Davisson as the former owner of Whiskey Beach and Froggy Bottomz. Davisson also leases the space that currently houses 3001 nightclub in Myrtle Beach.
Roger Davisson had retired, but he “got bored” and decided to come out of retirement and open a new nightclub. It is expected to open in July, Davisson said.
Like its name, only those age 25 and older will be admitted into After 25. It will have live bands on Fridays and a DJ on Saturday nights. There will be a large dance floor where people can dance to music that will be a mix of country and dance tunes, Davisson said.
“It will be more of an upscale environment,” Davisson said.
In addition to drinks, food also will be available with a happy hour that starts at 5 p.m.
