A woman was charged with kidnapping in Myrtle Beach after she allegedly attempted to take a stroller with a child inside while a family took photos in Plyler Park, according to a police report.

Amanda Noel Dudney, 40, was also charged with public disorderly conduct.

Myrtle Beach Police Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Ocean Boulevard on May 18 for a suspicious call. The officers spoke with two witnesses at the scene who said that they were taking family pictures when Dudney “walked up and grabbed the stroller” with the victim in it.

According to the witnesses, Dudney began to walk away with the stroller, but one of them stopped her and pushed her away. Dudney continued to follow the family until they reached the SkyWheel where they alerted security.

Dudney denied all the accusations to the officer, according to the report.

Dudney is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center where she has a bond of more than $60,000.
