More than 7K without power in northern Horry County. Here’s what we know
More than 7,000 people in the Little River, Longs and Calabash, North Carolina, have lost power.
Horry County Electric reported the outages about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The utility company said that transmission was lost to the Brooksville substation, according to a Facebook post.
It is unclear what caused the outage. There was no estimated time listed for the return of power.
Those online reported that traffic lights were out along U.S. 17 in Little River.
Crews from Santee Cooper and Horry Electric have been dispatched, the post said.
