Boat collision happens on Waccamaw River in Conway. Here’s what we know
Two boats were involved in a collision Friday evening on the Waccamaw River.
The collision happened about 5:27 p.m. in the area of Jackson Bluff Road, according to a Facebook post from the Conway Fire Department.
It is believed that two people were involved in the collision, the post said.
Horry County Fire Rescue said on its Facebook page that two people were transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Three additional patients were treated on the scene.
Conway Fire, Horry County Fire Rescue and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources responded to the collision.
