Popular Horry County boat landing closed after boating incident. What we know
A popular Horry County boat landing has temporarily closed after an incident involving a boat apparently damaged the landing.
Enterprise Landing, located at 7999 Bay Road, in the Myrtle Beach area, closed Thursday morning due to “unforeseen circumstances,” Horry County Parks and Recreation posted on Facebook.
The U.S. Coast Guard alerted the department about the damage after the Coast Guard responded to the incident, Horry County Spokesperson Thomas Bell told The Sun News.
In a photo shared with The Sun News, two of the dock’s posts are leaning out to the side towards the water.
Horry County Parks and Recreation went out to the Enterprise Landing Thursday to assess any potential damage. It’s still unclear how long the landing will be closed, Bell said.
