One person dead after being ejected in Loris single-vehicle crash

One person has died after reportedly being ejected during a single-vehicle crash in Loris Tuesday.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to East Highway 19 between Cane Branch Road and Clio Road where a vehicle was found overturned, the agency announced in a Facebook post on Tuesday morning.

The driver was in a Chevrolet Tahoe heading south on Highway 19 when just after midnight, the vehicle traveled off the road to the right, struck a ditch and overturned, according to an email from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver was reported having critical injuries before later passing away. There were no other people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The name of the driver has not been released.
