TV reality star shows up at Myrtle Beach gym and poses for pictures. Here’s where
A Myrtle Beach gym got a surprise visitor Thursday when one of reality TV’s popular and eclectic stars popped in for a workout.
David Bromstad, the host of HGTV’s “My Lottery Dream Home,” was pictured on Facebook at Crunch Fitness, 2400 Coastal Grand Circle, posing with some of its employees and exercisers.
One employee shown in the photo, who didn’t want to provide her name, said Bromstad indicated he was in the city for work, but didn’t elaborate on what he was doing.
A message left for HGTV was not immediately returned.
David Bromstad, HGTV in Myrtle Beach
Bromstad has filmed in the Myrtle Beach area before and those segments were featured on his show.
A March 13, 2026, show featured a woman from Rhode Island searching for a new home in Myrtle Beach.
The premise of the long-running TV show, which entered its 18th year in 2025, focuses on Bromstad helping recent lottery winners find their new dream homes. But not everyone hits the lottery jackpot.
In a previous segment that focused on the North Myrtle Beach area, Bromstad helped a woman who had come into an inheritance find a new home.
Bromstad, a former “HGTV Design Star” winner, is known for his over-the-top personality and unique style that includes bold colors and accessories, as well as his tattoos that stretch from head to toe.
