New BBQ restaurant opening in Myrtle Beach area. It has four other SC locations
Carolina Forest will be getting a new barbecue restaurant.
Work has started on property located next to the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Rodeo Drive off of U.S. 501. It appears the construction is for a Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, according to online land records.
A message left for the restaurant’s corporate office was not immediately returned.
The company applied for a commercial permit in January, according to online records. It is unclear when the restaurant is expected to be completed.
Jim ‘N Nick’s serves Southern barbecue, including pulled pork, beef brisket and chicken. Sides include such offerings as baked beans, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and collard greens.
The Alabama-based company has four other locations in South Carolina. The closest to the Myrtle Beach area is North Charleston.
