1 hurt in Myrtle Beach area apartment fire that damaged units, shut road for hours
One person was hurt Tuesday in a Socastee area apartment fire that damaged three units and shut down a roadway for several hours.
The fire happened at 5:48 p.m. on Horizon River Driver, according to a Horry County Fire Rescue Facebook post. Two units sustained fire and smoke damage and a third received water damage, the post said.
One person was treated on the scene for injuries, the post said. Four residents were displaced because of the fire.
The fire shut down Luttie Road to traffic until 7:45 p.m. as crews battled the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the post said.
