2 new low-cost, non-stop flights added to Myrtle Beach airport. Where you can fly
Two new non-stop flights from Myrtle Beach International Airport have been announced by Breeze.
The low-cost airline will now offer flights to Pittsburgh and a one-stop, no change of plane service to Portland, Maine, according to a press release.
The airline is also expanding existing services from the Myrtle Beach airport to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Long Island, New York.
The Akron-Canton route will increase to daily beginning July 1; the Fort Lauderdale route will increase to six times weekly beginning July 1; and the New York/Islip, New York, route will increase to four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning July 1, the release said.
The Pittsburgh route will be offered on Mondays and Fridays starting July 3 and the Portland service will start July 2.
“Pittsburgh is one of our most popular markets, and this new nonstop will be a welcome addition for both residents and visitors,” Judi Olmstead, director of airports at Myrtle Beach International, said in the release. “Portland becomes the farthest northeast destination served from Myrtle Beach, opening the door to even greater connectivity to Maine and New England.”
