Myrtle Beach steak and seafood restaurant will close after more than 30 years
After more than 30 years as a Grand Strand fixture, the TBonz Gill & Grill on Seaboard Street is closing its doors for good at the end of this year.
South Carolina-based Homegrown Hospitality Group (HHG), which operates restaurants like TBonz, Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse and Liberty Tap Room & Grill, announced the restaurant’s final day will be Dec. 31, 2025.
But the space won’t stay closed. At the current TBonz location, HHG plans to open a restaurant focused on breakfast offerings.
“Following the closure, the restaurant space will be reimagined under a new concept, introducing a breakfast-driven experience with expanded brunch offerings and an in-house bakery,” HHG representative Charlotte Bruton said in a statement.
Timeline specifics and details about the anticipated menu items haven’t been released, but HHG said it will share more information in the coming months.
It’s also unclear what prompted the change. The Sun News has reached out to HHG for comment.
