Horry County collision involving log truck leaves one dead. Victim named
An Horry County collision involving a log truck left one person dead Wednesday.
Christian Todd Howard, 25, died after his vehicle collided head-on with a log truck, according to an email sent Thursday by Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard. The collision happened on 701 North, just before 2 p.m., in the Bucksport community.
All lanes of the roadway were closed for several hours after the crash, according to a Facebook post from Horry County Fire Rescue.
One person was ejected and the vehicle overturned, the post said.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
No further information has been released.
