Popular Myrtle Beach area biker bar closes after decades of hosting bike rallies
A popular Myrtle Beach-area biker bar known to host events and draw thousands of motorcyclists for bike rallies each year has closed.
The Rat Hole, 3833 Socastee Blvd., announced on Facebook Friday that it has decided “to roll down our bar doors for the final time” following the fall Myrtle Beach Bike Rally. This year’s fall rally was Sept. 29 through Oct. 5, 2025.
The bar has been a go-to for bikers and visitors who roll into the Myrtle Beach area and Murrells Inlet for the annual spring and fall bike rallies. It is known for its live music, biker rodeo and pudding wrestling.
A message left for the owners of the bar was not returned before publication.
“We are beyond grateful for your support and participation in our events over the last couple of decades,” the post said. “We want to thank all our Rat Hole friends and family for joining us and allowing us to continue our biker fun over the years, but with much sadness we have decided it is time to close this chapter of life and start the next!”
