Smoothie chain known for colorful drinks, Dubai chocolate opens spot in Conway
A new smoothie and juice spot recently opened in Conway. To celebrate, they’re hosting an event with giveaways in November.
Vara Juice, a smoothie chain with 26 locations in the eastern U.S., opened a Conway location at 1300 SC 544 in mid-October, with a soft opening the week of Oct. 6, according to the location’s owner, Adam Saleh.
To celebrate its recent opening, the store will host a grand opening with free smoothies and prize giveaways on Nov. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. Prizes include two electric scooters, Beats headphones and gift cards, Saleh said.
The chain is known for its colorful smoothies, acai bowls and Dubai Chocolate strawberry cups.
Vara Juice also serves freshly squeezed raw juices, slush drinks, and is also offering Turkish milk cakes for a limited time, according to the chain’s website.
For Saleh, opening the store has been an entirely new experience — from the building process to operating a food-related business.
“I was just going day by day with it,” he said.
Hailing from Detroit, the location’s owner moved to Conway about five years ago, hoping to live closer to the beach, Saleh said. Before opening the Conway Vara Juice, he held a variety of jobs, priding himself on his entrepreneurial spirit and most recently helping an uncle run his business.
Saleh discovered the opportunity to open his own Vara Juice location through a family friend, who owns the whole franchise, he said. Since taking on the project, Saleh said the whole experience has been “amazing.” In the past two weeks, he has been building and preparing his team for the grand opening.
“It’s a lot of planning that goes into this,” he said.
When asked if he has a favorite Vara Juice menu item, Saleh said it’s hard to choose, because everything on the menu is so fresh and healthy.
