NC singer who performs in Myrtle Beach area on TV’s ‘The Voice.’ How he’s doing
It took Rob Cole two tries to make it onto the reality TV singing competition “The Voice,” but now that he’s on the show, he’s making the most of it.
The North Carolina country singer, who is known for performing at restaurants and bars across the Grand Strand, won his battle round on Monday night’s show, sending him to the knockout rounds.
Cole directed interview requests to his publicist, who did not reach out before publication.
The 34-year-old won a spot on Michael Bublé’s team with a cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life.”
During his Monday win, Cole told the coaches, “That image of not getting a chair turned the first time when I came haunted me.”
Cole had first appeared on the show during Season 25 auditions, but did not get any coaches to turn their chairs. But that didn’t happen the second time as Bublé and Reba McEntire turned for Cole.
Now, with his time on Season 28, the singer’s mantra has been “no does not mean never,” as he’s getting a second chance to compete for a chance to win.
Since the new season began airing in September, Cole has received congratulations from Myrtle Beach area restaurants and bars where he has played and still plays.
Dead Dog Saloon in Murrells Inlet posted a shoutout to the singer who has performed at the restaurant. He’s also performed at Boardwalk Billy’s in North Myrtle Beach, where he will be Wednesday, according to his social media page.
The show appears on NBC at 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays.
