Finding a good employer may be at the top of the list for those seeking a job in the Myrtle Beach area.
Forbes in August released its list of the best employers in each state for 2025. Among the list are several Horry County companies, and national companies that have offices along the Grand Strand.
To create the annual list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees working for companies of at least 500 people in the United States. The survey resulted in 1,417 companies making it onto at least one of the state lists.
Of the top 10 companies listed on Forbes’ list, at least five have offices or stores along the Grand Strand. Those are Marriott International, Publix Super Markets, The Home Depot, United Parcel Service and T-Mobile. Additional companies with locations in the county also are on the list.
Two companies based in Horry County also made the list for South Carolina. Horry County Schools was ranked No. 42 and Conway Medical Center was No. 47. The rankings were out of 55 companies in the state.
Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp. has a list of Horry County’s top 10 largest employers. Horry County Schools and Conway Medical Center are on Forbes’ list. They are:
